Investigator for the Internal Control Function
The Internal Control Function is part of the management department belonging to the regional administrative management. The unit's mission is to develop and support the internal control of the committees, ensure that reporting on operations and finances is reliable, and that laws and regulations are followed. The work includes tools for risk analysis, oversight, and internal control plans, as well as preventive and detective measures to counteract irregularities in operations.
We are now looking for an investigator who wants to contribute to combating welfare crime, strengthening the region's governance and control, and creating security throughout the organization – come and make a difference with us!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an investigator, you will have a varied and responsible role with a large network of contacts. The position has a broad field of work that involves strengthening management and governance within the region by reviewing and evaluating, thereby contributing to improvements in operations. You will work with the region's internal governance and control (ISK), where you will be part of a smaller expert group in the area. Each committee and board is responsible for ensuring that there is good internal governance and control, where you support, develop, and follow up on that work.
In the coming years, your work will have a particular focus on combating welfare crime. You will become a key person in developing routines and working methods in this area and providing support to the entire organization on these issues.
Main Responsibilities
- be a support in matters related to ISK, anti-corruption, and welfare crime
- conduct reviews and investigations and prepare decision-making materials
- develop governing documents, routines, and working methods in the area
- follow up and report results of reviews and evaluations in a systematic and purposeful manner
- conduct training and provide practical support to operations in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with good analytical skills who can quickly grasp complex contexts. You find it easy to plan and prioritize, can see and understand connections, and can take a holistic perspective. You are comfortable driving and owning extensive processes and are eager to take your own initiatives. Furthermore, we see that you are communicative, have the ability to express yourself pedagogically, and can create effective networks both within and outside the organization. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively and are good at building good relationships and creating trusting dialogues.
For this role, you should have:
- a university degree in economics, law, political science, or other relevant experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- knowledge of administrative and regulatory frameworks.
It is an advantage for the position if you have experience from a politically governed organization, knowledge/experience of governance in the public sector, and knowledge/experience of management systems. It is also advantageous if you have experience in driving change at a high level and experience in risk management.
